The entries can be commented on, connected to a particular session (and thereby to loot), annotated with keywords, and made private for only specific viewers. Probably the most essential part of a campaign manager for many, with the probable exception of play-by-post games.Įpic Words has a pretty thoroughly implemented Journal system. Often this seems to be just the DM's job, but it's nice to see players at it too (I know many games that give a player some kind of reward for doing this work. If others post the relative implementation of other sites' features, you can determine what features are more important to you. I've used Obsidian Portal a little bit, but am much more experienced with Epic Words. Assuming this isn't a factor for others, I'm trying to think of EVERYTHING I would want an electronic campaign manager to do, and list it here, so that those who are more experienced with the various assistants can comment on how well or how poorly each feature is implemented. Overall, I've found epicwords to be slightly more feature-packed than obsidian portal, but it's a consideration that, for me, would be secondary to keeping things on sites I'm already visiting. When you finish editing the page you will see a blue link "I want to go here" that leads to the other campaign. Like this (hopefully this shows up properly) "I want to go here":htt p://address of the other campaign you copied If you want a link to elsewhere you need to copy the http address and insert it manually. My apologies if the details are unwanted.Įdit: I know why it may not look like it does it! when making a new wiki page, there is an "easy" button for inserting links, THAT button only shows you stuff from inside your current campaign. Now I am not a used car salesman, so if you looked at it and it doesn't suit you, no worries. Click and they are there (at the other web campaign).Īnd since Unconquered Kingdoms is being developed and played in, I have a link from the main world to it, a sort of zoom in effect. In those paragraphs I have links to the main deity page, so there is no re-entering of info. The main campaign world can be the hub, with links to it from multiple other portions of the world or even other worlds.įor example, I have brief paragraphs describing the religions in the area of the Unconquered Kingdoms which is a region in my main world of Alfaysia. You do not have to re-enter any of the lore etc.
